She asked, “What would you do if you were the last man alive on Earth?”
I pondered. What could I do? There would be no one left to act normal for. There will not be anyone left to act crazy for either. What could I possibly do!
Is that all there is to life? Is that ALL there is to Life! Life gives life. Life sustains life. Is it life that coaxes life to life? What am I even talking about anymore. Is life that closed thermodynamic system or a self-sustaining ecosystem in itself? If that is so, are we alone? Can we possibly be alone? Isn’t it life alone that gives life? Or is there something more complex, more profound than Life itself? What could that be? No, we will leave God out of this for now.
But, you cannot answer a question with a question. Do some questions have no answers? May be they don’t. Who told you in the first place that every question mark was followed by a full stop? We all just made it up, like stories in the books. May be some questions are flawed in themselves. May be some question marks co-exist with a different set of full stops.
“No, I would not like to be the last man alive on the planet. It doesn’t answer your question. But, it is the answer anyway.”
A good read !
